What is Crossing of a cheque?



Answer:
Any cheque that is crossed with two parallel lines, either across the whole check or through the top left hand corner of the check is crossing. Crossing in cheque is done for the following reasons:
 
Ø  It gives direction to the banker for payment.
Ø  To give more protection for the payment
Ø  It will not be paid over the counter.
